Kallen is one of the rare design leaders who can truly do it all, modeling excellence in her craft, empathy for her teammates and end users, and a collaborative spirit that elevates everyone around her. I had the privilege of working with Kallen at Mailchimp, where her strategic influence extended beyond her immediate team. Her humility and willingness to share her expertise drew others into her orbit. The cross-functional exercises she facilitated and shared continue to have an impact on my work even today.
For the past few years we’ve participated in an online design community, where I frequently reach out to Kallen for advice. Her depth of insight on navigating challenges with cross-functional partners, supporting the career growth of reports, and effectively managing upward demonstrate wisdom and experience of a seasoned leader. Her mentorship has meaningfully guided my personal growth as a people leader.

It’s not very often you get the opportunity to work with a design leader as talented, meticulous, and dedicated as Kallen. After working in close collaboration on a project, I had the chance to witness her incredible leadership abilities and sharp strategic approach to design first-hand.
